About Us
At Don's Emporium we share a passion for wine, food and travel and know you do too! We want to build a community of shared experiences, knowledge of the good stuff and create a forum for others to enjoy it as well.
We hope to share with you the great food, wines and enjoyment we get from the wonderful wines we source, coupled with travel destinations and tours to the beautiful regions that deliver us these wines. Our aim is to build relationships and friendships through great wine and travel experiences! We will achieve this by using Don and Giuseppe’s knowledge from 20+ years in the restaurant business matching wines and menus, and adding David and Karen’s experience of 20+ years in travel, to bring to life an ultimate travel, food + wine experience!
Donato, Maria, Giuseppe and Catherine Laurito come from a long line of Italian chefs. Having successfully owned and managed several award-winning Italian restaurants over the past 20 plus years, Donato and Giuseppe bring their love of food, wine, culture and history to Don’s Emporium.
David & Karen Sumich have been involved in the travel industry for over 20 years. Having owned and successfully managed several businesses during this time, their expertise, passion and contacts within the travel industry are first class.
And they all came together discussing travel over good food and wine!
Our Wine Offerings
Members will have access to cellar door wines from the most beautiful and awarded regions of the world, the same regions where we also have travel offerings available. Couple this with wine tasting and education events showcasing new and hard to find wines.
Our Travel Offerings
Our members will have the opportunity to travel to some of the most beautiful and awarded wine regions of the world including Italy, France, Spain, Australia, Greece, Chile or New Zealand. We will offer tailor made and set group tours. Our tour leaders are sourced through our extensive travel industry contacts so we provide you with experienced, unique tour leaders. Donato Laurito has led wine tours to the southern Italian regions previously and will do so again.
Our Food Offerings
Our members will also have access to special offers from our business partners along with food recipes to pair with wine suggestions. They will also have access to cooking classes held at Storia on Queen which will be all live streamed.
